God's Word is Healing

After their morning prayer time, two students felt that God was directing them to read a Psalm together.  It makes our hearts happy to see students sharing in the Word like this!

Country Friends

Being in the country provides students with some very unique experiences.  We often see many different animals around the building- turkey, deer, ground hogs, snakes, birds.  Lately, the turkeys have been walking around a lot.  We saw them as babies earlier this year, but now they are getting quite big!  Did you also notice how pretty our fall trees are right now?

New flexible learning options

For the first time, CCDS is offering a web-based curriculum to our high school students.  With the use of the on-line courses from EdOptions, we are able to better help our students reach their academic goals.  EdOptions uses curriculum created by teachers, is continually being updated, follows state standards, uses automatic grading, and provides teachers with detailed reports.  Most importantly, it allows students to make up classes when needed and also take more advanced classes when they are ready.  As a small school, it has been hard to offer credit recovery classes and advanced classes whenever a student needs them.  Students are learning to work more independantly and be more responsible for their own learning- great skills to practice when preparing for college!

The Return of the Chargers

Our high school boys varsity basketball team recently started pre-season practices. They are already getting excited for the coming season and want to make sure they are in top condition. Coaches have the players work out twice a week, practicing their shots and doing weight training. The Chargers are gearing up for a successful year! Will you be a faithful fan, cheering them on this year?

Anti-Bullying Campaign

Community Country Day School has six middle school students and a teacher attending the 2011 Healthy Youth Development P.E.A.C.E. Festival at The Summit Student Center today! This event is designed for students in grades 6-8. Our students are being educated about non-bullying, civility, empowerment, and other positive factors that reduce problem behaviors in schools. The main objective in this event is to provide students with action strategies they can utilize in their schools to create a bully-free environment in their school. The goal of the Erie Peace Festival is to highlight a Bullying Reduction campaign and empower youth in planning and organizing a commuity bullying reduction plan. Today our students will have a chance to write how they have been affected by bullying on a moving wall, and CCDS will get the chance to have this wall in our own school. We are very excited to hear what our students learned today and have them help CCDS put a stop to bullying!

The afternoon of Tuesday July 6, the former Brown and Aaron Courtney Fufbolistas Cooling and visited the sports complex for Sergio Perez InterActual Baitoa with children's teams Baseball Baitoa Municipal District.
The athletes gave a brief inspirational talk to children. "Fight for your dreams as hard as they can, everything in life is achieved and work for God" raised Courteny Brown, owner of all defensive record in the league of American football college team with the State Pen and first 200 dratf selection of some children smiling and shocked by the athlete of 290 pounds of muscle.

At the end gave sportswear (gloves, balls, bats and hats) to the children of Little League baseball and played on improvised equipment. Courtney showed his greatness as a human being, but as a baseball player batted 4-1 with three strikeouts, despite being a child who threw him.

Definitely incomparable greatness of these two men of God who could enter the country by creating big impact in the national press, but prefer to do so anonymously and discreetly, so as to simply act as ordinary citizens and bless the needy who find their step. They will be in Baitoa Santiago for a week
