Anti-Bullying Campaign
At CCDS, there is ZERO TOLERANCE for bullying! Last week we focused on anti-bullying with a special assembly. Elementary students wrote and performed an original rap/song for the school, and it made the news! Check on the local news story on our fight against bullying!

New dress code???
Students display their ideas for next year's dress code!
Or they might just be goofing off, although we liked the idea of their pants not sagging!
A Man Named Pearl
We were very blessed to have award winning topiary artist, Mr. Pearl Fryer, visit Old Zuck in April. Brought to us by the Carrie T. Watson Garden Club, the students were able to watch the documentary, "A Man Named Pearl," to prepare for Mr. Fryer's visit. After giving a motivational talk to the students, Mr. Fryer actual demonstrated his art by creating a topiary for CCDS- a spiral tree. The students were amazed at his skill and inspired by his life and story.

One day at a time
This morning a student was having a hard time, getting frustrated easily. He asked to speak to a high school student about his problems and to help him calm down. They spoke of how God can help them, how each day is a new day, how he should take one day at a time. It was such a neat conversation to hear, such a blessing that our students can mentor each other and be an encouragement to each other.
